*Disclaimer: Our visit was during the weekday in May. Things might have changed. But these are still amazing places to visit when in LV.

We diced to go to Las Vegas for three days. let just say that during the week Vegas is different than it was in the pre-CV worlds, but at the same time, people are visiting. it took us over an hour to get our rental car, lines were long, and not enough cars. Also not all the restaurants were open and the ones that were you need to make reservations. Most of the time it would take forever to get one. Finding a Starbucks in an open casino was hard and if you found one the line was long. Pools had a capacity and waitlist that filled up before the day even started.

Because of this, and prior knowledge, thanks to YouTube. We planned to make this trip somewhat different. Mostly coming down to where we were eating and the activates we wanted to do.
So here are some fun locations and restaurants we tried. All of them are kid-friendly. (My parents used to bring me a lot to Vegas as a kid, so I understand the need for kid-friendly activates.)

Things to do:

Red Rock Canyon: is 45 min away from the strip and is perfect for hikers and non-hikers. We enjoyed the day out in the sun getting some movement in. You can also check out 7 magic mountain if you want something closer to the strip but you do need a car, less of a walk and you just park in one-stop quickly easy, and free.

Outlets: Las Vegas outlets are always a fun option. I like to stop and check out shops I don't have near me. They have a lululemon outlet! Even though I have one close, I always like to check them out when out of town. You never know what deals you might find.

Food: We tried two different places off the strip for BBQ and Pizza and worth it!

Rolling Smoke BBQ: First off they have two locations. The original location is where I decide to stop by, I was told by a local to go during the day because at night it can get a little interesting. First off they are open to indoor and outdoor eating and are keeping the place very safe and clean. We order a family tray. it is one large family dinner that comes with half a chicken, ribs & pull pork and went with original sauce, we ask for hot but they forgot and We were already back in our room. The food is good but my favorite part was the beans and cornbread

Pizza Rock: Is owned by Tony Gimigany and he owns many other pizza locations like Slice house that are all over the bay area. I know his pizza from when I was a kid, he used to have Pizzanos in Castro valley. So when I saw him open a spot in Vegas I was excited to try it out. you guys it was so worth it the best part is you can get a slice or a whole pie and he has great family deals. Located in downtown Las Vegas near the mob museum.

Donut Shop: If you have been following me for some time you know this is one of my favorite stops in vegas the donuts are so good and fresh and not over sweet. I always recommend going early and they are only open until they run out.

One Place on the strip I do recommend for something sweet is Bellagio Gelato the one nearby the pool. this time I went it was super packed because the only place to get food during the day but still worth it.

Vegas is still a fun play to visit and explore! I am actually going again in June when everything should be reopened and ill keep you up to date.
