And just like that USA took the lead over Jamaica. Making it two to one and winning the gold cup. (It has not been easy as fans know.)
With the gold cup, being hosted here in the bay area at levies stadium. We could just not help and jump on the opportunity to watch our team play.
As a fan it was so exciting to watch these men play in front of me and not just on the TV. Getting to see Clint Dempsey,Tim Howard,Michael Bradley and Jozy Altidore in person playing the game was just amazing (You all know I screamed my head off for Clint Dempsey ). It was just a great way to spend time with family and enjoying the game live. Here is a couple of the picture I took you might not have seen on social media.

That's exactly what this post is!
This past weekend we celebrated my sister accomplishment that she graduated from UCSC with two degrees in four years and both with honors.
We spent the whole week decorating and you might have seen some of it this past week on my social media. Down below you will see some pictures of the decorations and the actual celebration. Had so much fun I actually forgot to document it (Rookie mistake ).
Big Thanks to everyone who came out to celebrate with us <3

I'm addicted to cooking books and nutrition book.
Since the young age of twelve, I developed a love for books.(Shout out to Gossip Girl). I would make my parents, more like begged for them to take me to the book store just to get a book for the weekend. It got to the point where my parents had to hide the book from me. Especially if it was for a long trip because I could read that book in a couple of hours before the trip.
I'm not going to lie I love Young Adult book. I hope many could relate to that, on top of that I enjoy thrillers from time to time, but lately, I developed A new love for cookbooks and nutrition books.
First off, if you know me you know that I can barely boil water without something going wrong, but lately I been putting myself out there when it comes to cooking. As a gift for Christmas, I received first the Freddie Prince Jr Book, Back to the kitchen and it started a new inspiration for me to get into the kitchen.
I admit my love for the actor and after a girls night watching some of his films like, I know what you did last summer and She's all that. We found out he had a cookbook and it was a shocker, but once I read the book I understood this man had a passion for food.
The recipes are amazing and simple that even a somewhat okay cook could make and enjoy.
His green chilly salsa is so good. I might secretly now use it all the time and tell people it is a family recipe (oops!!).
My current favorite book right now is Body Love by Kelly LeVeque. This book just blow my mind. I read it in literally in two days, and read it again the next day to make sure I understood everything correctly.
Kelly LeVeque shows you a new way to not diet, but love your body by filling it with nutritious food. In a way that will help you lose weight if that's your goal. I really got into this book and the ideology behind it after Kelly post on her blog about the challenge she was hosting.
From the first day of the challenge I could notice the difference and I think that's what made me believe in the book even more. I'm on day 17 of the challenge and now I enjoy waking up early to get some type of workout before work, and a fab 4 smoothie after. It makes me stay full until lunch and sometimes after. I recommend this book if you're trying to fall back in love with your body.
The third cooking book I got was The Gilmore girls book: Eat like a Gilmore. This book is filled with fun amazing recipes. That makes you feel like your part of the Stars Hollow community. Try one of these recipes out when ever you feel like you need a little Gilmore Girls in your life.
If you guys have any recommendations for book I should check out, please let me know down below. I'm always up for finding a new book of any kind.
Here are the links to the book !

Now let's just say last weekend was packed with major celebrations in my family. My cousin turned 15 something I can't believe because it felt like not that long ago she was at my own quinceaneras. Also, my younger Sister finished college, not only with one degree from the University of California Santa Cruz but two and with honors in both of them and she did all in four years. So big congrats to her for all her hard work and sticking with it.
For my fellow Bay area natives, it was a warm weekend. So that made the commit a little difficult since many people want to head down to the beach. Having to get up at 4 am to make my sister first graduation was not joked, not going to lie but there was already traffic heading up the 17. The ceremony was nice and short and small wich made it an enjoyable graduation.will celebrate by going out to eat and having some Smitten ice cream.(Best way to celebrate anything!)
On Saturday we celebrated my cousin turn 15 with a fiesta theme party. from the pictures below you can tell they put the time and dedication into their party and theme. It was a great way to celebrate her turning 15 and spend time with the family. As mention before truly could not believe how fast time has passed.
we head back to Santa Cruz on Sunday for another graduation celebration my sister and our Latin ethnicity. it was a lovely graduation with a beautiful backdrop.
Overall it was a crazy weekend spent among family celebrating the great achievement in their life. truly proud of them and what is to come into the future for both of them.
(Hope you guys like the video I made bellow of my sister's graduation.)

I'm in love with the bohemian look, it's something I always lean to when I go shopping for a new piece. So I thought for my first fashion post. I should post this lovely dress from my favorite brand of all time Free People.
The dress is called Retro Love Suede and its 100% suede. The best part it comes with pockets! if you know me I love pockets and to make it even better its teal. It does have a plunging neckline and a expose zipper in the back. what I love about this dress is you can change it up anyway.
I decided to wear a shirt under the dress and it fit conformably and looks amazing. The dress works for any occasion and since you can mix and match its worth the price. That's something I truly love from free people as a brand, that there dress could be used all year long in different ways. This Suede dress is not a disappointment at all.

Let me tell you its true! But just because you can write doesn't mean doing this whole blogging thing is easy. I'm going to be honest, I just have been so busy and out ideas that I been neglecting my blog. A blog that took me forever to actually make, so I have been a little upset on not keeping up with content. I have read on other blogs that you just need to write to get into the blogging scene or grove. I'm guilty of not writing, pleading guilty here.
So I deiced to set up a little challenge with myself to get me writing. I Jacqueline Perez will update at least once every other week.( If anyone wants to keep my accountable let me know.)
I also want to add more content to the blog not just make it about my life and trips, but I want to talk more about the Bay Area and the surrounding cities. The food and culture they offer growing up in Bay make it possible. The plan is to Include more fitness, my up's and downs with trying to become more healthier. My favorite recipes (I'm a true amateur cook like those kids on tv could sweep the floor with me.) Also maybe a little fashion I don't know much but I know what works for me. Most importantly I want to write about Coffee I <3 that stuff, and spend a pretty penny on buying it so why not write about it.
Thank you for sticking around and joining my on my writing challenge.
